I remember the thread of when someone (Flama22?) who lived on Shirley street, or somewhere near Quinpool, was stuck in their house for days because some nutjob barricaded themselves in their house with a gun and wouldn't come out. |

Be careful with Lexan and most variants of plexiglass; if you leave the grease markings on it long enough, it will begin to eat into the material, and that's definitely not something you want, especially with an illuminated board. Have a look over at Instructables for ideas and designs, they might ... |

I have an idea. I want to make a wall mounted white board that, instead of whiteboard material and marker, uses some sort of polycarbonate and grease pencil. As well, is illuminated from the bottom by a light source, thus illuminating the grease pencil. My question is does anyone know if grease penc... |

Last sunday, -20 I had to walk from the top of the Citadel all the way around it (Had to leave out the back door) and down to the province house IN A KILT. And because I ain't no bitch, I went regimental. H.A.F. Jesus, the things you learn, I just found out now that Madrigal is a little mentally ch... |

Friend and I want to set up a small temporary network so friends can come over and easily "EXCHANGE FREE LINUX DISTROS" from one anothers PC's.
Is this as easy as just all of us plugging into the 4 ports on a router and sharing, or is there more we'd have to do? |

Very varied. A lot of my playlist is quartet Jazz (big jazz fan), traditional irish/scottish/cape breton music, folk music. But then mixed in among that is Burzum, Jotunspor, Rammer, Pantera. Mixed into that again is Ghostface Killah, Immortal Technique, Handsome Boy Modeling School, Aceyalone. |

Reformatted and everything, fresh install.
Been working great, tried to install a game today--crashes every time I insert a CD.
I guess I could blame it on a bad install, but I am worried the HDD could be buggered up. |

Wow.
What do you use it all for?
I am comfortable with a 250gb drive, not even close to half full. |

Tried Knoppix, didn't work for some reason.
Gave me a weird boot error right in the beginning so I was stuck with a severely reduced kernel.
Bah. I'll just have to wait for tomorrow. If that sata connector doesn't work I am going to hunt down whoever wrote this spyware and murder them. |

Ubuntu is my first chance at it, I am on a booted copy right now. It recognizes the drive, but won't "mount" it. I am too linux-stupid to figure out how to get it to mount. I have a friend who offered me a SATA-USB converter, but I can't get it until at least tomorrow. Anyone know enough a... |

I've had it hanging on the post-windows-loading image black screen w/hourglass phase of the boot up for over an hour now.
Is there anyway I can use a bootable distro and access files on my windows drive? |
