You have all given me a few more thing to consider. Thank you for the input. Ideally I'd love to run Windows 7 on a 240GB SSD and have my media storage as a 2TB SATA. But my budget is only so much.
Thanks again and Ill let you know how this works out. |

So ive come to the conclusion that Id like to get a second hard drive. My old 500 gig one is beginning to slow down and I need more storage space. What I was thinking of doing was getting a new SATA 2 TB HDD and installing my OS (Vista 64bit) on the new one and using the old HDD as storage. So far a... |

Well I got this unit in 2008 when the 4850's first came out. Its been a great little card to me the past couple years, its run all my games perfectly up until now. Im 99% sure its artifacts and they only show up when the card has a heavy work load. I turn my machine off for a couple hours and I'm go... |

I have been monitoring my GPU's temp while gaming and its averaging around 80-85 C when playing a game such as Dragon Age or Starcraft 2. I cranked up the fans on the GPU and my tower to get the temps to regulate to an even 80-82 C. When I play an older game I have temperatures around 70-75 C and no... |

Pixalating or Artifacts I'm a little unsure of the terminology but basically when I play a game (and only a game) the screen suddenly has multiple flashing black dots and gets worse over time. I have updated my graphics card drivers and monitor drivers and it has not really fixed anything. My system... |

I thank you all for the advice. I am new to the concept of cooling as any previous Comp I have had has never needed any. If this fan is not very reliable what cooling would you recommend? At what point would you require liquid? Is that maybe if your into over-clocking? I would like the quad processo... |

After doing a little research and getting a quote built for me, this is the system I have in mind to pick up. The HD4850's might be swapped out for the 4870's. I am by no means as technically savvy as some of you here, I'm just beginning to learn. This is simply my first shot at a gaming system with... |

The 22" 225BW seems like it may be the way to go. I was looking at the samsung LCD's and they seem to have the best user review rating. Most people who had Acer's or similar LCD's had a lot of bad things to say about them. I'm presently running a cruddy little Dell 17". My new rigg will ha... |

your right, I do owe you an apology. I am sorry for being a dink, but I did not know that's how links were blocked. I really thought you were being sarcastic and I replied ignorantly because of that. I should lighten up a little. I'm sorry |

Wow, I must thank you for this highly informative and technical advice. This is precisely what I was looking for. "24 for 329 @ poopy-shizzle" very clever. I love the word play on "poo" I only hope you can keep up on the creativity. |

Hey there, I'm new to the forum but have been lurking for a little bit and it looks like a pretty decent little community here. I am in the process of putting together a new gaming system (putting it together on paper for now) and I was hoping for a little advice on a monitor. My price range is abou... |
