| It has to be along those lines.But I believe it is the bios that is being stubborn It also works with a GTX470, and the 4870 works in my main rig...so neither card nor mobo is bad. tried on various monitors to rule out that possibilty I think the only thing left to try is to manually reflash the bio... |

| Wow, put in a cheap ass 8500gt...boots right up. put the 4870 back in..stuck on error 52. With the 4870 installed in the other slot windows doesn't even see it. Sooo took the 4870 to another computer with a ocz psu, once again boots right up no issue what so ever so I guess my sons abit board will n... |

latest one installed unfortunatly...i have another vid card and some mushkin workin anything ram comin later....hopefully i will get somewhere with them as the 9800gt is sold and gone  |

| thx for the opinions..from what I have been reading...aliant is not going to do anything better. I think my best bet is to take my modem in as Top said,and maybe bite the bullet and get a second connection.That is probably gonna be the only way I will get away with multiple users on at the same time... |

| I just got back from Fort McCrappy...and my wife was telling me how cold it was...I was laughin at her (as it is always -30 + where I was working) then when I got off the plane i was really surprised....-20 down here is a helluva lot colder then -30 in Alberta.. | check to see if any of the pin are bent in lga socket...(I doubt any are) and are u 100% positive the heatsink is installed correctly?other then that there is not too much that could be wrong..or if the cpu is installed incorrectly..but i also doubt that. |

yep..updated every driver..even checked for beta drivers...gonna mess with it under ubuntuu and xp again and see if there is much change..
dunno...may have to try a extra lappy drive here to see if the other raptor(even tho it tests fine) is the problem |

| Ok..I admit defeat,,and need opinions I had a raptor crap the bed on me yesterday(part of a raid setup) I got a new case..so i figured,hey I'll install it all in the new case and start to install on one raptor.. it took some time to format the single drive as I had to remove it from the raid set... ... |
