getting that upgrade itch hali? gonna run the phenom till then, not gonna bother rebuilding the i7, got it running but at stock, been to busy with the baby to tinker around with it |

soo, whos gonna jump on the Bulldozer bandwagon, ill be there launch day, this is the chip iv been waiting for for 4 years. sorta sad no word on > dual channel on the desktop chips, but 8 core native would be nice |

monkeydee was in my neck of the woods tonight and we devised a way to fit a non sealed loop in this thing, 120 rad on the side (or top if its standing) barbs on the block at a slight angle, t line to fill instead of a res, and a low profile mcp-355 mounted under the psu. |

lol the i7 is the only intel in the house, the other 6 systems are all amd (and one G5 mac):P, only went intel bc of the deal denty gave me on the chip, i find the amds more stable all around anyways |

blah, looks like its back to the 965BE for a while, think i might just get a crosshair 4 for the am3 instead of building another intel, never had a amd burn out on me, but this is the 3rd intel in 10 years |

soo, pretty sure the mem controller in the i7 finally bit the dust. gonna toy around and see if i can get the frigger running again, if i have to rebuild might go dual cpu, the thought of 16 threads is enticing |

personally im not too too fond of sealed loop units. i have a corsair H50 running in my wifes system and keeps the PhenomII x4 965BE @4ghz @40c in 25~27c room ambient. if your only doing a light oc then it would be fine, but also remember, this goes for ALL cooling except TEC and L2n, you can only c... |

that works, the xt waterblock is just as good as the koolance, about a 4c differance, iv got the gtz apogee right now, but once i can afford to im gonna get the cpu-360 |

dollarama now sells mini 1.4gig mini dvd-rw's for a buck, good for small backups etc, im using them for website backup and source code. |
