The only issue I've ran into with HDMI is when I moved into my new apartment. At random times, the sound starts becoming "fuzzy". I just have to switch to a different input on my TV then switch back to fix it. When I had this PC back at my parents, it never was an issue, so I'm convinced i...

Some more food for thought is figuring out how many hard drives you'll want in your HTPC. I already have mine maxed out, so now I'm looking at building a NAS.

sure but a true blu ray disk is 50Gigs. How long do you think it would take to torrent that without having a usenet acct. lol The disk can handle 50gb however most movies (excluding the extras) end up being around 25gb. Even still, you can get re-encoded files that drop that file size down to 12gb....

My laptop is 1280x800 and my 32" Sharp Aquos is 1366x768. Both are fine for every day use and watching movies.

For my programming and graphic work, I can see how 720p is not enough. Hell, I'm not happy with my 22" LG @ 1680x1050. Need some Dell UltraSharp 24" @ 1900x1200 :)

I boycotted Windows XP for a good 2 years after it was released. Windows 98 SE was pretty damn good for its time. XP to Vista was a big jump but once I got Vista 64bit SP2 "beta" and tweaked it out, I actually liked Vista a lot more than XP. Even despite the few glitches and negative feedb...

My first pc was an AMD K6 II 333Mhz with a whopping 5.2G HDD and 128MB of ram. Then I upgraded to 256 as 128mb cost ~70 bucks. That simple pc was close to top of the line back then and cost a retarded ~1700+ bucks. Think of what 1700 can get you today for a pc. Also later I upgraded the video to a ...

Probably one of the best times to quit... I started playing again right before ToC, which actually kept me hooked for a bit longer since you could clear the place in 45min-1hour.

I've been WoW-free for about 3 months now...

I watched seasons 1 to 3 last week while I was sick with the flu. Just started up on the 4th season last night... One of the few TV shows I actually watch, most of mainstream stuff is garbage.

You guys seriously need to invest some time into getting into a good tracker.. :P I max my connection in seconds, on every torrent. Movies take minutes to download, not hours. Usenet is good, but torrents are much easier to manage. Though, I guess if you're not into seeding then Usenet's where it's...

I remember from a few years ago that the bandwidth cap was something like 40gb/month... I've downloaded almost double that in a matter of 2 days or so... [insert shady eyes emoticon]

torrents take anywhere from 8 hours to 2 days for a good sized file.
usenet takes an hour.

that plus you don't have to worry about upload ratio's justifies the $15/month for me.
