Now I could put into Windows, and fire up VLC and play videos that way, but thats a little cumbersome, and not exactly user friendly ( read: girl ... |

I too have made a similar "leap" recently. I moved out to the country, I literally live in the middle of woods. No High Speed Available.. except for Sat. Internet which I don't think qualifies as a viable connection for me. I use internet only at work, which is enough time for me, to get c... |

nednil you should look at going with an AMD 780G chipset or even the AMD 790 GX ( If its even out). The former is relatively cheap board. Has an onboard video card that is similar to a 3450 in performance. It can also handle any video content you can throw at it. ( Blu ray playback, HD video etc, pr... |

Anyone look at buying a Bluray ROM for their. PC. I recently am looking at building a mATX Home theatre pc, and looking at getting one for it. Prices seem to be dropping on them. Just wondering how they perform. As expected? With mother boards coming with HDMI standard seems like a cheaper way to ge... |

DVR boxes don;t have coax output ( if its an Eastlink Variety) . If its a standalone dvr , then perhaps that would work. Not entirely sure it would work hooking an Eastlink DVR to tv card. You would have to have a tv card with RCA\svideo\ inputs to get anywhere I would think |

Just updated my 360, and tried out the new Divx/Xvid support. So far its flawless. Media, plays instantly. Now to add a 4GB + memory stick to my X-mas wish list. Totally kills the slow *** divx support on my DVD player. It also will mean I don't have to hook my laptop up to tv with VGA. Just figure ... |
