Managed to get an extra 75MHz on the ol CPU. Wonder how high I dare push the voltage heh. The BIOS on this mobo is scary complicated :P

Windows score went up a bit as well, guess doubling the speed and doubling the amount can't hurt P

God damn HDD's dragging you down!

I like the color of the board. Gotta have black/brown in a black case or it just looks strange.

Nice OC too! But I think you can do a little better than that ;)..

Yeah well I'll wait until Bulldozer stuff comes out and I'll see what my upgrade path is...

How high do I dare up the voltage Phonix?

This is the ram @ 1600 (it says 9/9/9/25/34 @ 1333 on this stickers). Tried again at 1T, seems to work OK, doesn't seem to bench any faster though.

Steve-O

Manually set the timings in the bios to 9-9-9-24 @~1.66v.

That ram ran on my board with those settings stable as all fack.

and BTW - Sweet setup!! nice work!

Actually, I'm kind of surprised everything "just works". I should look for a BIOS update though before I go into any crazier settings.

Doesn't feel as bad about my case fans being a little dirty any more. :D

I gave up trying to clean case fans a long time ago. Better to just have the dust on the fans rather than everywhere else.

trp -9
tras -24

@~1.65 or 1.66v however that bios displays it.

Apparently what I've got is as high as it's ever going to go. Any smidgen above these setting and it's kaboom during windows startup (even with MORE VOLTAGE!).

If anyone feels like coming over and see if this beast can get any quicker (BYOcpu or BYOram) it's party time, heh.

So the 970 is maxing out stable @ 4.1 then? at what voltage i got my 965 up to 4.3 at 1.5v that was the max i was gonna go for voltage and that was booting into windows anyhigher and it wouldnt boot. On another note why do you have your memory running ganged and not unganged?
