well im in the shop today, and a customer comes to me and asks for a hard drive. and i asked if he a had a preference western digital or sea gate, he said " you dont have maxtor diamons?" LMAO he told me they are the best drives around. i thought to myself wtf |

Well there are worse drives out there. The Fujitsu 7200rpm drives or their IBM Deathstar clones come to mind. |

that's when you calmly inform the customer that seagate bought out maxtor and to get the same level of qualty (by the customer's perception of course) you should buy a seagate. of course you laugh later. lol |

Think anyone can find me a good Connor drive anymore? I loved the 100M drive I had in my 386, it was rock solid and a great performer... EDIT: Thinking about that drive got me wondering what I ever did with that...and after some frantic searching I found the old beast; Conner Peripherals model CP-3104. I think this is it anyways...now to see if I can still read it. |
