For the last 4 months my computer has randomly froze up every month or so, what would happen was it would freeze and nothing would work(Mouse, ctrl alt del, etc) and id have to power it down. After it came back on itd freeze again this time only a few minutes after i turned it on. I didnt have enough time to save my files unless I went into safemode and then still it would usually mess up backing stuff up to my ipod. I'd format and it'd work fine for another month. This has happened three times now and now when I went to format I restarted my pc and the monitor won't detect it. So I cant get into the bios to change the boot or anything that invloves seeing the screen. I've tried reseting the CMOS abotu ten tims, and unplugging all peripherals also extra things like hdd,dvd and switching the ram to another slot also without it in. I can't seem to fix it for the life of me. Can anyone help? |

When it freezes the original time, has it been on for a while? It only happens once a month? |

OK so after i realised i had onboard video and I just reset the cmos I decided it would be smart to plug the dvi cable into the mobo ; ) However it still didnt work, so I removed my video card. We'll see what happens now, it boots and shows up on the screen. Also looks like the system restore worked too. |
