Being someone who "survived" the NDP clusterphuck that was the early 90's in Ontario, I say to all, "you asked for it!". |

bob rae's NDP, and dexter's NDP are very different beasts. besides a socialist government isn't gonna work for a "HAVE" province(ie- ontario), but it could work well for NS since we are poor as hell and have basically been made the bitch of business owners. either way we won't have the PC in bed with big business anymore. good riddance. |

We've been doing it to ourselves for 160 years. |

That guy is still around? I remember his video reviews where every product seemed to get some award or another by him and how he featured his wife as the "product model" for everything... she was pretty but it just came off as so cheesy. Anyways - Yes, the NDP won and for my first time ever the person in my riding that I voted for actually won as well! I really hope they will do well for our province and turn around the rep they got while in BC and Ontario but time will tell. |

My first comment was in jest, as I think that the only thing they share with Bob Rae's 90's funfest is the letters "NDP". This has to be a good thing. Of course I was one of the 2.4% who voted green so what do I know heh. http://thechronicleherald.ca/election/results09.html makes you go hrmmmmm... |

I didn't hear anything from the Green candidate in my area this time around, which is a shame because the few I have heard of in other areas I've lived in have all been very well educated with values that align closest with mine. I think they focus more on the Federal side of things rather than Municipal because I didn't even know we had one running until I went to vote. |

And the Green Party was the only person who never bothered me with crap shoved under the door or knocking or calling. |

im assuming we didnt hear anything about them because they ran a "green" campaign and didnt use any advertizing i.e carboard signs etc... |

True. All those signs and handouts that are useful for all of two weeks at the most, and 30 seconds at the least. I wonder how much cheaper an election would be if they banned all that stuff, assuming their cost gets factored in when you hear those "cost of having an election" figures. |
