I'm looking to "purchase" a few new movies. Any recommendations? I want to test out my new TV and well the laptop has a HDMI output.

"purchasing" 1080p movies takes a long time.

Can sure take awhile is right. File size is immense in comparison to a simple avi.

But when complete they look amazing, especially if your tv is capable of 1080p. If you have a home theater also capable of handling HD and proper speaker placement the better for the experience overall.

I actually went out and bought 4 blu rays from walmart a couple days ago.

they have 2 for 15 bucks and 2 for 20 buck deals on the go.

I'm not so sure Gigli and The Navigator would be a deal at any price, even free.

haha that being said Steve-O I picked up the new superman movie and Stargate, Carrie and lethal weapon 2. Not bad for just under 40 bones for the lot.

I am pretty pleased with the deal. a couple blu rays that I wouldnt mind owning brand new for 7 bucks each? yeah, worth it to me.

10 bucks each for another two. again, to me worth it.

Funny thing is, I could bring the two 7 dollar ones into blockbuster and get a 10 dollar credit LOL that's a 6 dollar profit on 15 bucks.

hmm... lol

Usenet

I can "purchase" a full 1080p flick in less than an hour.

$15 a month for unlimited movies

OR

$14 for 2 Blu Ray discs...

Man, when will people wake up! lol

hmm got me thinkikng...film producers making hi-def movies are actually going to cut down on piracy and "file sharing" as it is actually MUCH easier to go and buy a 15 or 10 movie than it is to download a 10gb file.....just a thought...
