Just installed the new 9.12 and holy hell what a step up ( or two ) in graphic quality and overall smoothness when I am gaming. Noticable difference in how things look and feel. Nice going ATI

After installing the 9.12 hotfix, it felt like I had a different card all together.

Yeah I was floored. It was that noticeable for me. I just sat at looked at the game for awhile lol

As stated I immediately noticed several steps up in overal graphic quality and smoothness of gameplay. Amazing difference from the 9.11's on Windows 7.

Dunno what they did but holy hell its like I bought a brand new Card of better quality.

They said the 9.12's would bring out the power of the 5000 series cards, but they added lots for the 4000 series also. They made big improvements in crossfire as well.
You will probably gain like 1k points in vantage also.

About damn time they got on top of drivers a bit...

They get their drivers perfected and i'd be sold on their hardware more often.

That road also applies to team green. Technically with that frame of mind you'd never buy any video card at all.

Also going with that train of thought, no one in their right mind would buy team green. There is no current sensible NV solution. I wish it wasn't the case, but crazy leader and being muscled by Intel isn't helping. Current rumor mill is Intel buying NV, but they'd be pretty nuts to do that (not to mention FTC monopoly proceeding). Oh it's tough being on top heh.

Agreed. Intel will get another folder of probable lawsuits if they follow through.

I think NV will be going through some hard times unless... they competitively match their prices and have considerable performance gains. It would be nice but not likely.
