for those of us who are watching the games.

damn that was close tonight, when it came to the shoot out i was nervous, but sidney came back for his second attempt and made it a good one, and brodeur came up with the big save to end the sudden death\

It was a good game but I don't think it would have been so close if it wasn't for that Swiss Goalie.

this sort of thing always happens to us, we don't take them seriously and get stunned. goalie or not canada wasn't executing at all. on the bright side the russians lost.

Seeing as we were asked "to take it easy on the ice" Maybe they took that to lightly & now see that they need to slaughter everyone even if it's in true Canadian fashion lol.

I Predict we take the gold.

Last night was depressing but man was it funny when Sidney fell in to the US net and the commentator said "Sidney Crosby - apparently the only thing the Canadians can get in to the net." I lol'ed because he burned Team Canada so bad and I don't think he *really* intended it to be that cutting of a remark.

My cousin in Vancouver also had tickets for this game. Apparently you pay $250 a ticket and then it's more or less random which game you get AND, since it's in Canada, you aren't even guaranteed to be seeing a game with Canada playing in it. He was really excited this summer when he found out his tickets were for the Canada/US game and debated selling them, since they were going online for easily a thousand or more each, but in the end decided it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and went to see the game. I bet he is pretty upset about that choice now. ;)

Who were the 3 fellas who collided in the 2nd? I put my face in my palms there as my american buddy harassed me via txt.

I also thought it was a bad call to pull martin with a minute left. The team was in a good rhythm before they pulled him and had the pressure on the americans. Seemed like the shift change after brodeur was pulled kinda grinded the game to a halt.

I must say, we looked sloppy out there, scrambling and falling/tripping over skates and sticks and missing easy passes. Ryan Miller was just off the hook for the americans but he had alot of easy saves that game.

Now we gotta get thru Germany and Russia, not a cakewalk.

Looking at that, the most logical course of action would have been to lose all 3 of their games, even worse than Latvia, and play the Czechs and then the Finns, instead of Germany and then Russia. I'm glad I didn't have to think up that format.

Considering i'd have to be able to time jump for this to happen?

My reply was before the game obviously if you haven't figured that out dude.

Took US 50 yrs to beat us & win the gold lol.

I think he was asking if you were going to update your position or if you still think Canada will win gold... which is still entirely possible.
