Post subject:  Starcraft II BETA
Anyone been playing this?? The game is simply amazing and I have been playing it non stop since I got it! :)

ALSO I have been having problems playing full games. It seems as though my graphics card over heats and my whole screen goes crazy with like artifacts that kind of outline the image it is supposed to be displaying...I then have to shut down my computer and reboot. Anyone have a fix for this? I would assume I have to up the speed of my fan on my card, but I have no clue how to do this lol. Help would be appreciated! :D

8800GT's are heat belchers. Period. Yeah crank the fan. Hope you got lots of fans to exhaust the heat.

Theres an HD 5770 on kijiji for ~120 I would say go for that instead.

The G92 family which includes the 8800GT, suffered (along with others) from the nefarious "bumpgate" scandal. If you bought that card in 2007 or early 2008, that would be where I would point and wave my ATi flag at first.

I do have a lot of fans in my comp. I have the Antec 900 case with like 6-7 fans. But that pretty much sucks if I have to buy a new card...I'm a broke student! haha...

Alright, well I did some research on my card and found out what program/drivers I need in order to control my fan speeds and monitor the cards temp. This is what I came up with: http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?boa ... uage=en-us
I also lowered the graphic settings for sc2 and I THINK I increased the fan speed. I enabled "hyperdrive" in SmartDoctor settings and it seemed to work...but then while I was playing my first sc2 game, I was playing for about 10 mins when my screen went black for about 20 seconds, then I got minimized and my resolution was changed back to like 800x600 and I got the error that my atxdisplay driver had stopped working properly...So I'm guessing that those drivers I just installed are out of date? Can anyone point me in the direction of the newest drivers? (I don't think I can just get the drivers off the nvidia site because of the different model of my card.) :? :? :? :?

I considered that, but all the links are legit, and the email was mailed through blizzard.com. I typed in the URL manually too, if I remember. I'm going to change my password anyway, just in case though, now that you have me worried. haha

I get so much spam crap from fake battle.net's i won't even see a real blizzard email.
