not at all
i'm surprised the warm has held on this long.

besides, the good overclocking weather doesn't start until it's -20 out there.

Further evidence is that Duke Nukem is coming out May 3rd!

well perhaps a new thread on the subject but what the hell...

seeing as ya mentioned the mayans - there is alot of fear over this stupidly massive star going nova around 2012. yes it is 1300 light years away but the sheer size of the thing is more or less the 2nd largest star ever recorded.

It makes our sun ( which is ~ a million times as large as earth) look like a spec of sand next to a pickup truck.

The nova is said to be SO intense that it will give us close to daylight conditions in the middle of the night even from that unimaginable distance - and will take months to calm to where it will not be visible. wild.

maybe i'm missing something big here...
if that star actually goes nova today, and it's 640 light years away, won't it take 640 years for the light (and associated energy) to actually get here?
so i guess the prediction is that it went nova 640 years ago and we're about to see it?

either way, we have more to fear from the return of Jesus than we do from this distant star.

Uh, they can't forecast the current weather correctly yet, I'm sure they can't predict more important things yet either.
