Below is a link to a US Dept of Energy's presentation on some materials they are working on.

Very impressive stuff, epecially slide 14, AS5 is compared on slides 8 and 9 against some professional industrial greases, and is left in the dust.

Carbon nano tubes are around the corner!

Based upon the products on page 9, the best stuff one can find is Shin-Etsu X23 Thermal Compound (Model X23-7783D).

3M supposedly makes a similar performing product; however, the don't yet list is on the 3M world site.

Get some "3179 Dilatent Compound", there couldn't be anything better than that on the market today!
