It will work great dont worry. Kept my quad at 4.0 cool. Just check it for small scratches. Only thing that bothered me a little. A little polish work goes a long way. B |

Do you need a cooler capable of removing 180W of heat? I say you do because your processor's TDP is rated at 125W. While OCZ does not provide the cooling capability in Watts for the Ven 2, the design is consistent for 120W and this number is reinforced by many benchmark results on review sites. In my opinion the V8 it is worth the extra money as it will give you 60W more of cooling potential over the OCZ Ven 2. Thermal surging or shock from 0% load to 100% load will be better absorbed and more quickly dissipated. I use both of these cooling solutions and I'm happy with both. The OCZ Ven2 in cooling a E6700 and the V8 in on the Q9450. If your desire is to get a max stable clock on air, then the V8 would provide a better means to reach nirvana. |

Of course unless you have the benefit of lots of AC or live in a hole deep underground, overclocking is not recommended this week heh. |
