Decided to build a i7 920 machine, OC to 4.0. Need a good CPU, and was told get one from a good batch. So, ask MBytes what batch the i7 920 is,as I have a batch list of 920's that OC to 4.0? What say you? Thank You for any advice.

99% chance youll pick up a 4.0 920 easily regardless.. In the long run it's knowing what your doing with that cpu to achieve that freq.

Grab a V8 - you won't be disappointed.

Great advice. Bought a Noctua NH-D-14 Cooler last year. Saving for a MB, Vid card, Ram & CPU. Got a nice Cooler Master Haf 922 in MB paid waiting to be picked up. Buying a peace at a time. So far, 4 x 256 SSD, Raid card Adaptec 5805. Corsair HX 750 PS. My job dive bombed financially, thus have to save my nickels and buy when a deal arises.

The great computer portal of Kijiji! The guy I got the card from is super hard core OC'er. He's got a lot of hard drives in his unit. Going to try to get some new employment to get me some i7 action. Plus the new Nvidia cards out very soon.

LOL!!!! I just got it.. took 3 beers though! I do need an extra heater for the home office. will I need a loan just to finance a new Nvidia SLI unit? I think the ATI techs can take a years vacation so Nvidia can play catch up.
