Not new, just some old POS P4-M 2.0G that I got. Damn fan's are louder than my desktop. Anyway to control them? It's a Dell Inspiron 8200. It's only running at 1.2GHz with no load, but the fans still seem to kick in at 100% periodically.

A lot of laptops seem too do this now a days and it's really annoying. I would rather the fan spin at a constant lower speed then go full blast when it starts overheating but it's probably done this way to save energy.

If anyone knows of a fix though for when it's plugged in I would also be interested. I haven't really looked around for one on my laptop, since even when the fan goes it's very quiet, but my Dad's is ridiculous.
