I meant have 2 vid cards in SLI with this in the 3rd slot on a Tri-SLI board dude. |

and why are they "announcing" a pcie sound card. they already made a pcie 1x sound card for a while now. the xfi xtreme music. i had one for a while.lol |

I'm fairly certain a PCIe X1 card will run fine in any PCIe slot. It just won't take advantage of those parts of the slot it doesn't have contacts in. The only exception I'm aware of is the "Audio Card" of the ASUS Formula Maximus which is somehow proprietaryily (somebody call webster... I think I just invented a word... ) linked not only to a PCIe X1 slot, but also linked to only one of the two available on the board. |
