Have any of you guys jailbroke your PS3? I have and it's easy as can be. I jailbroke mine using my Ipod touch. I need more room for all my games, so I'm going to swap out my 80 gig 5200rpm hard drive for a 1Tb 7200rpm drive. You can put games on usb flash drives/external drives as well. |

I haven't jailbroken mine and likely won't. I get into the alfull habit of downloading more games than I can play. Then I just lose interest and they just collect dust. I remember when I modded my Xbox and Gamecube had over 400 games burnt onto disc, case/disc labels printed the whole works. I spent more time doing that than actually playing the consoles. Though I have the PS3, 360 and Wii and none of them are modded. But I am impressed that it took this long to finally be able to run homebrew/backups on a PS3. |

I'm buying a pre-modded ps3 tomorrow. I guess there's some really cool homebrew stuff you can do with them now so I'm definately interested. My only concern is how likely am I to get caught and ecm'ed or just plain banned from psn? And what are some of the cool things you got your ps3 to do? |

I haven't really messed with mine lately. I do have the latest jailbreak and all my games backed up. I'm not sure if you will be able to go on psn unless you update to latest firmware. If you update, you lose your jailbreak, untill that update is jailbroke. I think psn may be available through proxies, and there is an app to do just that. Not sure if it still works I don't even connect mine to the internet anymore. I do my online gaming with my pc. |

Yeah there is a proxy that works great or so I hear/read. I don't plan on using it much. I recently purchased an Xbox 360 and I might have used it a combined 4 hours. I just want to know I have every system so no matter what I have the option to play any exclusive title. Got my PC, 360 and Wii right now so I gotta do the right thing and grab a ps3 to complete the collection. |
