Oddly enough Windows 7 has been really awesome for me, lightning fast compared to Vista for sure. But I have one blairing screaming problem that I can't seemingly get around.

It has torrenting, if i torrent, it may be 20seconds, or 15minutes but it will freeze my entire system if i start torrenting anything. It also hates crack software of select nature it seems. But I changed from using cracked avast to wholesome Avast home edition which is indeed free! But Windows 7 still crashes, or hangs for moments. I have no virus protection just because Windows 7 goes nuts with it. I'll be reverting back real soon if I can't torrent, its my lifeblood!

thats really weird. I have had no issues whatsoever with 7. I have been using Eset for my AV with no issue whatsoever.

I would consider at least a backup of your data and a clean install. I would also run a full memtest and HDD test to omit one of them from being the cause.

I can run a torrent all day long if I want to with no issues whatsoever. I would also make sure you have manufacturer drivers going and not the generic windows ones for all your hardware.
