Hey Guys,

Now I'm no amateur when it comes to computer hardware but the documentation and motherboard labeling is just horrible on this board.

Now I got everything hooked up fine except for one thing. The Front Panel USB connectors.

If anyone could point me in the right direction of where these go that would be great.

Thanks.

It'll be marked USB1 or USB2 on the motherboard. A google search showed that they were blue and closer to the SATA connectors. 10 pin male connector with one pin missing.

If this helps you.

I screw up front panel connectors all the time. :?

In all fairness though my last motherboard had incorrect pinouts so I actually would have had to change the wiring on my case to get it to work correctly.

I don't have the MB or instructions in front of me right now but aren't the connects labeled USB1 and USB2 for addon USB cards?

Like I said I could be wrong so correct me if I am.

not exactly. add on usb cards tend to be PCI cards.
some motherboards ship with an additional bracket to allow you to have 2 additional usb ports on the back of the computer. however, those plug into the motherboard in the exact same way that the front usb ports will.

A lot of motherboards (newer more than older) have it labeled JUSB1 and JUSB2. dont really know why, I just know that the last like 10 ive worked on had it.

it prob said not to mix up 1394 port headers and usb headers, the run on different voltages and cam potentially kill the board.
