So.. I have a bios chip that I need manually flashed, as its completely dead. Is there anyone in HRM that has that tool?

Man that sucks, it has happened to me a few times too, especially on DFI boards, but they were always beta bios (use at own risk  ).

I don't know anyone in town that can do this. Is this for your p5n32e-sli plus?

If so, I don't think the Crash Free Bios2 means a bad flash recovery capability.

All you really need is someone with the same board and that's willing to do a hot swap flash. This is a simple process needing only a bios chip extraction tool or a jeweler’s screwdriver and a length of dental floss.

Actually its for a striker extreme. Though that board is really similair to the p5n32e, perhaps i could hot flash it using my board? My buddy also has a gigabyte board hes been sittin on for a year, with a bad bios. Wonder if I can flash differant vendor's chips?

If the bios chip fits and is the same type or chip, give it a try.
