Post subject: | Asus m2n32 WS pro board wont post, |
So boys, i got this Asus M2n32 WS Pro board from a friend and wont boot. ill list my setup and everything ive tried. ultra LSP 750 psu Ati HD 3650 Seagate 160gb sata hdd 3x Samsung 1gb 5300 ram(generic acer trash) Amd Athlon64x2 6000+. got the proc/mobo/ram for a 360 so its not a big deal. ive tried a generic psu, thermaltake tr2 430 watt and same thing happens, tried AMD Sempron 3200+, Amd athlon 64x2 5200+(brisbane) and thats it. It starts(like everything powers up and fans spin up slightly), then shuts down as soon as it seems to start loading bios, i dont know if this would be a bad flash or what because the guy claims to have had it working around a month ago. i have no idea about his history with what was done to the board but i know he was the only owner and i dont think he ever abused it. Input would be nice because i would like to get this working, tell me what you think could help ill try it or tell if i tried. Also have reseted cmos, different cmos battery and everything i could think of. maybe the experienced tech people would know something. i havnt dealt with bad flashed boards before or anything of that nature. |

TRy a new psu. Had that problem before. just pick up a good one and you'll be gravy. 99% sure it's not the bios |

so there is no chance it would just be a bad bios flash? cuz i kinda wanted to get this board running. i didnt really have a use for the 360 i traded to get it. and i dont want a dead mobo. |

Just for yucks, try booting it without the SATA drive attached and only one stick of RAM. |

i know, that is a shame, why wasnt the damage more extensive? like chemical explosions? and these posts are getting extremely off topic. |

have you tried running it outside the case? i'm thinking it could be a grounding issue. |
