this has been happening for a while, and i cant seem to figure out why. It only happens when my tv is on VGA that the colors seem to be off. Its almost as if its too bright, but changing brigthness doesnt help, or contrast, or anything for that matter. ive tried as much as i can possibly think of. my HDMI is fine, as well as the cable, and rcas. only the vga does it which i find very wierd. Hooking my pc up via HDMI is not even in the question because i only have 1 input and dont like swapping the cord around from my ps3 and pc. Any suggestions are welcome as to what it may be. The tv is from crappy tire, its a 32" LCD 720p, 1360x768 native res, proscan branded. it does the job for me :P

Have you tried changing the colour gamut on the PC side?

Do you have a spare VGA cable to try with? If the signal on one of the VGA pins isn't coming through well it can cause weird problems like this.

at face value it does sound like a pin isnt making connection, either cause of a faulty cable or - heaven forbid - on the tv side.

"off" would be a broad term, I guess pictures would be in order or we're just tossing random ideas around.

FWIW the colour you get from using an analog cable will be different then a digital cable anyways.

Well, it seems that the colors are fine, its just the issue of the brightness' that make it seem not right. Atm, i dont really feel like taking a picture, ill see if i can find another vga cable, if not ill take a picture later.
