I've seen this setup all over google ect but you think it will work for me? no I don't think so! Anyone know of anything that will make this setup work? I don't know much about flashing or updating the bios really so that is kinda out of the question. The E5200 isn't on the compatibility list for this MB but I know it will work.

for asus boards its really easy,

go to asus get the latest bios, extract the file to a thumb drive.

reboot, go into bios. under tools you should see asuz ez flash.

enter the ez-flash, and find the file on your thumb drive ( for convienace i use a blank thumb drive) and then follow the few steps to install the new bios

Asus are really easy to flash. You can even try the asus update tool

By any chance does this P5N SLI have a copper coloured heatsink on the southbridge and a non-stock cooler on the northbridge? (The stock one was a crappy red passive thing) Maybe a bit of tape residue on the PCB just below the NB.

Yeah quite possibly Dr what's up?

You have to be able to post with something in order to flash it or get into the bios. I can't even get it to post.
