my 8800gt runs everything just fine at mas settings for basically every game without issues. 3870's are good as well, i just fucking hate their driver download site.

Well...Looks like i am gonna be buying a new 3870 next week... I was looking at two cards from Sapphire..the plain HD 3870 512mb DDR4 and the HD3870 Toxic. The toxic does have a pretty innovative cooler and does feature a small factory OC. but not enough to justify the $60 more they want for it. Nothin is written in stone yet...we will have to wait and see...

The toxic runs a heck of a lot cooler than the ordinary one with the single slot cooler.

New cards are out at the end of the month. HD4000 series and GT200 series

I would be getting a Dual-Slot cooler.

Yeah I heard June 16th? I wonder when the cards will hit retailers though? Maybe i Am better off waiting? This could mean a price drop on the 3870, or even a better card for a little more cash.

No Not in dire need at all. I am going to wait the two weeks and see what happens, even if i dont pick up one of the released cards, hopefully i will see a price drop in the 3870, maybe a low enough one for a crossfire setup.

In the mean time im gonna look into getting a new psu and hsf, maybe see what that e8400 wolfdale is made of...i've heard of them hitting 4.0GHZ and above...so hopefully i can get 4 GHZ out of it, but i am worried my OCZ platinum will hold me back, i think it is only rated for 800mhz....but we will see...VOLTAGE!!! will be my friend...
