Now that winter is almost upon us, I miss my 4870X2, it kept my computer room nice and toasty last winter, I'll probably wind up burning more oil this year with this chilly 5850.

yeah the 4870's can belch out alot of warm air. I noticed that myself, now that I have two running i am going to have to keep a window open.

crank em both up to 100% and its like two hair dryers going.

They don't even compare to my old 2900XT leafblower edition, ahhh the bad old days of 2006.

I'm guessing you're happy the 10.2's came out, now that they have better (proper?) crossfire profile whatevery stuff.

I didn't see any difference with the 10.2's other than GPU-Z didn't work right, my Vantage runs were lower with the 10.2's and for some reason DiRT2 locked in at 30fps, vs 47fps average of a single card with the same settings.

Bummer, although AMD breaking their poster child game doesn't surprise me.
