ok so I set my 8800GTX up as secondary dedicated physX card.

Was supposed to hook it up to either monitor via vga cable so I hooked it to my main monitor off the GTX 285.

It was showing in the screen rez as a 3rd monitro & messing up my display arrangement. things were trying to appear off the 8800GTX so I disabled that "monitor"(even though it doesn't exist).

My question is by disabling the "monitor" that is off the 8800 will mess with the PhysX or not?

you dont need it hooked up to any monitor nor sli, just enable it under the physx tab in the nvidia control panel as the main card(optionns will be any nvidia cards you have in your system, any agiea cards or just to use cpu (as long as you have the newest build of forceware). im running a 9800gtx as my physx card with my 5770 ati, works perfect

nope, windows 7 allows multiple drivers at once, but has to be 7 and not vista or xp

There's that whole thing about NV drivers not allowing NV cards to work as physx cards if there is an ATi card in the system, this is common knowledge as far as I'm concerned.

Unless you are using one of those nifty beta drivers, I don't have a clue how yer getting it to work with no tweakery involved.

Everything NV does is a sham, it's been proven (beyond a reasonable doubt, in my eyes) by showing that they use x87 programming instead of using SSE derivatives for physx. Physx only works faster on NV cards because it artifically borked using an intel or AMD processor. In reality it should magnitudes faster on a current quadcore processor.
