AMD dual and tri-cores are basically binned quad-cores (either failed cores or to even out distribution in the channel). This boards makes it trivial to unlock cores, if they work properly.

The newer 6 cores alos have 4 core equivalents, and they could also possibly be unlocked as well.

I like how their marketing department used the word "phenomenal" in there to really get their point across about it making dual cores like the Phenoms. ;)
