So I'm just curious how many on here would pay to have there PSU sleeved all wires 1/8 like this?

Even to have custom length Sata power cables each wire sleeved to exact measurements between hard drives and devices so theres no excess cable?

I paid to not have to bother about seeing any excess cabling. Although I could use some 6" PCIE power cable extensions.

now that looks sharp. Pay? well possibly but I am the sort to do things myself cause I really enjoy it and it keeps my hands and brain busy which is a good thing.

But to alleviate the pain in the arse and have custom ones done to exact lengths sounds like a really nice idea. I am sure there would be a market for it now that I mull it over, I would probably pay for that.

I think the real question is how much would you pay. ;)

Since I didn't pay back in 1998 to "round" my ATA-66 cables, I'd say....nothing.

I "rounded" my ATA/66 cables as well... It got a bit more tricky with ATA/100 though. :?

The picture shown was from there website, just to give an example of what it would look like.

As far as costs, all material is provided at a price of roughly 20-23 cents a foot. Labour would be discussed in detail but aprx. 50-175 depending on amount of sleeving wanted.

Sata power cables can be done to custom lengths and sleeved indivually ( can be pinned with whichever connector you need )

Just wondering how many would be interested or know of others who would want this type of service.

Well I'm interested in the concept, not so much the service as this sounds like something I'd love to try on my own. I've created some pretty neat loom over the years, but always wanted to try braided loom.

I think this is the response you'll be getting from most people as the demographic of those who would like their cables done like that are probably the same people who have the technically ability to try it themselves. If this is just for side work though than it doesn't really hurt offering the service out.

Most people though can order the cable and make pin removal tools... but what about when you break a connector and you need it re pinned.
I don't think most people will have the hardware to fix all that could go wrong.
It would suck to break a connector on your 24 pin and not be able to use your PC.

Very true, I use a piece of a broken radio antenna to release my pinned connectors, kinda hard to explain but works quite well. Haven't shortened a cable before but have always considered it. Now with sata power connectors I'm not so sure as I've never had one apart before.

Seriously though, definately something I'd like to look into.

yeah - sata wouldn't be feasible I dont think. But you do have choices of colors instead of the "awesome" red.

Sleeving is one thing, custom lengths is another and really what would make things neat.

I really like this idea, plus I'm upgrading my PSU real soon so I'll have one to play with in my new build! Hmm I wonder if that would void the warranty haha!
