To keep me occupied and to satisfy the urge to build. ( I swear its probably as strong as a crack addiction lol ) I picked up a few parts here and there to do another simple little custom build. the CPU is an AMD 4200 Dual Core A DFI GF8200A AM2+ Motherboard TT Matrix Case from a forum member - thanks for the deal btw 450W sparkle psu More photos to come as I continue with cable management and install the UV cold cathode's

Most of the wiring complete including the cathode install. One on the door and another in the bottom of the case. Nice thing is - the ram slots , PCI slots, socket bracket anything thats a neon color is also UV reactive. Have to tidy the wiring on the lower right of the board for the front connections. All I need now is some Ram and a clean Windows Install and she's done.

It feels like 1999 all over again with this build but I'm actually interested in seeing the final result. If you're going to go UV you might as well go all out and I think that heatsink will be pretty funky when lit up. |

I connected the front panel pwr switch and powered it on without ram to see the final result. Pretty much every header on the board is UV reactive. The HSF is insane lol Not having a clear side panel doesnt matter - the side mount for a fan and a huge vent lets you see inside easily. I will post photos of the ultra multi colored UV reactiveness this early evening |

I put a touch of UV paint on some of the caps as well. Jesus its crazy lookin lol What a person wouldn't do when bored. I still have cable management left to do - more or less the front panel wiring and tucking away. Other than having some ram ( still lookin ) and an OS - its pretty much finished.

LMFAO Steve-O Touching some of the caps with UV paint added a lil extra and something for some people to gaze at under a heavy cloud of funny smelling smoke. Theres another project being started soon. Managed to work out a deal on a case - its all white, identical to an old enermax case I had - that's all I am saying for now. See how that goes in time when I get that picked up and some parts for it as well. |

The board actually is an ECS GS8200A (Elitegroup) AM2+ AM3 capable. I stuck in some 1066, clocked it back to 800 and did the windows install. For a 2.2Ghz AMD Dual, its a lil quicker than I thought it would be. Once I get the ram picked up in Dart from a forum member - build complete and on to the next this coming Monday. Photos of that to come as well.
