They do lose parts often.

For big helicopters the Sea Kings are actually fairly quiet. They fly over my house 3 times a day it seems (Eastern Passage) and I notice them but those small commercial helicopters flying much higher seem to make more noise.

Anyways, sorry to aid the derailing going on here. ;)

The EH101's are freaking LOUD, I seem to be on some sort of a flightpath for S&R and I keep thinking somebodies banging on the house with a sledgehammer when they fly over.

Yates have always been good bang for the buck for me. The Noctua 140mm with the 120mm fan screw holes are awesome if they fit (but look like a turd), avoid SilenX at ALL COSTS!

Ya the new Cylcones (CH148's - Replacement for the Sea King) are really loud as well even just idling. They're currently sea phase testing them on the HMCS Montreal and had them in the harbour last week taking off and landing and you could hear that they were alot louder then the Sea Kings.

Dr_Bend where did you hear the EH101's at? Ya they're probably just doing practice S&R and with an issue of cracking tail rotors over land is probably safer then practice over water.
