How do you guys find the ceramique anyways? Most reviews I've seen say it can work a bit better then the silver paste but it's usually messier. I still have a few applications left in my AS5 syringe but I may check out the ceramique for next time.

Well, I use the ciramique, because AS5 doesn't like sub-zero temps, the silicon based ciramique handles it well.

As far as if it's better with air cooling, you'd have to look at the benchmarks. I'm sure there are many reviews showing the difference in temps between them.

I use it because it's not electrically conductive or capacitive, I didn't think it was better than the Silver based ones, but it appears to be that way

Ceramique appears to do quite well, but takes a hell of a long time to fully cure.

I've been using MX-1 for a year now, and recently started using MX-2.

It's non-conductive, spreads fairly easily, seems to do a better job than silver based TIMS on surfaces which haven't been lapped, and is over-all competative with most other TIMs.

The only issue I have with it is that it seems to be almost "clay" based, and over time there is a grey film build-up on components close to the CPU socket.

I hope I've got the fans clips on wrong, otherwise this has got to be the saddest engineering I've seen from Thermalright. Can't put a YL on it

Guess I got them on there right, and I actually used the right screws :D

I need improved NB cooling!

Remember, that board has a fsb hole.

I'd try jumping right to ~405FSB, probably ~1.475V, depending on your temps.

Your board is good for it, your chip is good for it. Update your bios and let'er fly.

It's between 366 and 401, 400 is mega unstable, 401 is just fine. Didn't get a chance to play today :( or even finish swapping out my fans.

WOW, I love this TRUE and these YL's  Why did I spend $30+ each on 47cfm 11db fans, when these $9.99 45CFM, 24DB fans are quieter. (note the expensive fans, were running @ 5V :x ) MB should start stocking these puppies. Yate Loon D12BL-12

Not sure which temp reading I should believe yet though, bios sez 31ºC at full load, Core Temp sez 35-40. It is about 10ºC lower than the XP-90 was though.

You BIOS may not have had the +15C fix yet. When the G0's came out, they read 15C cooler than they actually were. But then again, the Ultra-120 is pretty pimp, so it's very possible it's really that cool.

It was reading 12ºC with 1215, so I went to 1216 which was supposed to fix that. I need a temperature probe that doesn't require me sticking a conductive J K thermalcouple around my CPU.

Well, it's quite possible.

My "SmartGuardian" reads 225C idle (-30C, from 256=0) at stock settings. My E6700 ran warmer than that, by about 10C

I'd ask if that's reading in Kelvin, but it's not 273 = 0. Weird.

It's HEX actually, only reads from 0-255 Celsius and starts over. In this case, since I'm going negitive with my pelt, 255C in the program =-1C. It counts down from there.

So I think I'm set for some runs this weekend, the Ceramique seems to have set nicely, my temps keep getting better, I've got a 40x40x25mm fan stuck to the mobo by the NB, and an 80mm pointing to my ram.

/waits for PSU to meltdown...
