Thus far it's Starcraft with better graphics and new units.

Sp's definitely B-net linked.

In reading you can play in an "offline" mode by selecting "Play as Guest" which does not require you to login to the B-Net servers. This is however only available after you activate your CD key and login atleast once to B-Net.
In "Play as Guest" you can do either the SP campaign or Skirmish. Your saved games will be saved differently from MP/Online saved games and will only be playable in offline mode. You also cannot earn achievements while playing in Offline mode.

Anyone with an ATI card try out the new 10.7a BETA drivers yet? Specifically you can now apparently enable AA in SC2 from the CCC panel.

I've heard mixed results. 5970 = unplayable, CF 5850's = 60fps solid

Finished the campaign last nite while playing on a 10' screen...Damn that was a good campaign! Nice finish that ties up the storyline and leads you into the next one for the 'Heart of the Swarm' expansion.
Tried out some of the Challenges and they are a good addition to the game too.
Now on to some Co-op Comp stomp and multi-player.

Just picked it up today, Now I'll have to devote some time to this game. Just finished a Mass Effect 1 & 2 marathon lol. But I must say it brings back memories of playing SC1 on my old p166mmx :P

My thoughts...

MP maps are all remarkably alike, elevated base, single ramp in, no island maps, stupid xel naga beacons, it's like having peanut butter sandwiches EVERY DAY.
AI sticks to the same predictable tactic's much like the first one
I wish they'd fix the damn persistant creep bug already.
Campaign, awesome, hopefully they don't pull a Valve in completing it. (Ep 3 COUGH COUGH)

Finally bought this game today. First of all I'm a horrible rts player. Out of my first practice matches I got rushed early each time, and just wiped at my base. I don't have a clue what I'm doing here lol. Waste of money? We'll see....

Play me online and you will win.The only online matches i win are when the other player quit's.I even bought the Bradey's game book and it didn't help!In the single player campaign i made it as far as the stop the trains level and can't get any further.

I'd like to see replays of 1v1 matches and see if the CPU cheats like in SC1, like they knew what your defenses were no matter were they were on the map and would only attack when they knew they could win (ie no advanced scouting parties).
