Oh wow.. early 2000's flashback. They better fix this, some $2 indie games can do this.

After playing the demo on 360 it's actually not bad looking at all and it's just as full of glitches on 360 as the pc version.I would not of released this in it's current state.They only have a month to fix it!

I used logitech Setpoint to map my mouse keys.
I overclocked my card to 950/1250 and get 60 fps on high settings.
I have it at ultra now, but fps are the same as the high setting.

Good luck with all that there, DiCE :P

Quote:
DICE has confirmed by way of the Battlefield 3 Blog that apparently the PC beta has been hacked to allow additional game modes and support for as many as 128 players. As players know, the official beta is only Operation Metro in Rush for 32 players.

DICE has gone a step further by warning players that any play on unofficial servers using a hacked copy of the game could lead to possible account bans. We think joining any unofficial/hack server is going to lead to bans, and DICE isn’t kidding about it. The ban would not only affect the Battlefield 3 beta, but other EA games that are associated with the account banned, as well.

While DICE has admitted that they have tested Operation Metro in conquest mode with 64 and 128 players, they have admitted that with 128 players the server lagged considerably. Hence, this is the reason that they will not be offering support for 128 players.

It just seems that some people can’t leave well enough alone and have to try to push the limits, regardless of what the impact is to the community and publisher.

DICE working hard to resolve issue in final
DICE is paying close attention to the issues and problems that players are reporting with the Battlefield 3 beta. A post in the Battlefield Blog indicates that a number of fixes driven by user reported issues will be in the game’s final version. Some of the fixes include:

* Fixed occasional client crash when reviving.
* Fixed killcam showing glitched area under map if your killer is dead.
* Issue with spawning on dead squad mates fixed.
* Fixed a bug where shooting at a moving enemy could cause more than the intended amount of damage.
* Crosshairs for shotguns have been replaced with a new, thinner art.
* A subtle low health screen effect has been added.
* Tweaked scores of Medals and Service Stars.
* Tweaked the Rank progression.
* Pushing prone on console will not play the animation twice.
* Fixed loss of Squad Leader after EOR at some times.
* Framerate stability fixes.
* The 3D spotting icons has been tweaked to better match the target's visibility. Icons will show frequently less on mostly obscured targets.
* Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after round transition.
* Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after trying to deploy while the countdown timer still active.
* Squad list now shows specializations chosen, VOIP activity and dead squad mates.
* Non-working options in squad menu fixed: "Private" flag and "Switch Teams."

Still, overall the beta is quite impressive and does show the exceptional progress that DICE has made with the game. As the title races toward release, however, it is crunch time to get things done before it goes out the door. We surely think a longer beta cycle might have been nice to get some of these fixes addressed prior to the actual release, but as long as it is fixed in the final release that is what actually matters.

I'll be waiting a good long time after release before i touch it.Something this buggy so close to release is sad.Same bug's and glitches on 360 as pc and i didn't bother to dl on my ps3 but from what i heard it has all the same bug's.Reading about all the games pre-order's that have been cancelled over the beta release.

EA deserves this and so much more, hopefully this means I can play Star Wars TOR for free (only way I'm doing it)...

The beta guys was 3 months behind the final release for updates thats why it was so buggy and ultra setting was turned off for the beta so all you saw was high settings.
