Well now, this is total BS. Methinks Blizzard bit off more than they can chew. I figure they will eventually enable offline play, if only to save them millions in bandwidth charges.
Blizzard hacks off fans again:Quote:
Will not let them finish their games
Blizzard has managed to annoy the players of its Diablo III players by stopping them from playing the entire game.
Blizzard Support Forum Agent Medearn announced yesterday that if you buy the digital version of Diablo III through the online store or your Battle.net Account you will be restricted to the Starter Edition for the first 72 hours. Restricted players can only get up to Act I, Level 13 cap, matchmake with other Starter Edition players and can't auction stuff.
Nor can you have global play as you can only connect to Diablo III Starter Edition in your region. The company claims that it is to combat fraud and other malicious activities. But gamers just think it is save wear and tear on the company's servers.
