hey folks, ive been reading the forums for a long time now and finally decided to make an account.

Anyways has anyone played WaR yet?
I was on their website but didnt really see anything that impressed me graphic wise(seemed kinda squarish) and no mention of the monthly fee.

Ive played LOTRO which has nice graphics and wow but I dont know if WaR is worth the money.

Any thoughts?

If ya played WoW you played WaR. Nothing special, nicer graphics, servers are a big problem, as I couldnt log in most of the time.

If you are currently playing something else don't bother, unless you are a big fan of Warhammer in general.

EA fscked it up big time, like they do with most of their titles.

Aside of individuals whom modify other peoples quotes in which I won't get into...

EA has really made titles that don't appeal to me except for the days of Ultima Online. That was a great game in my opinion until they brought out the Felucca crap.

WaR was really appealing in development. But like all the titles after World of Warcraft. They have all strived to achieve the same environment and gameplay.. Even the same UI. (like Steve-o said).

I would have apreciated WaR much more if they did the 40k theme. If anyone who isn't familiar with the 40k. It's just in the future with chainsaw swords, laser guns and crazy armor.

Also if someone brought out a MMO which was in the wild west era. I would gladly try it.

But yes. I was addicted to World of Warcraft a few years back until recently Madrigal. And in all honesty i'm definitely pro-mmo. It's a great alternative to spending loads of money on console games and other things. Like making pipe-bombs, etc... (jk there. . ). So now it's taken in moderation.

I was using the quotation to make reference to myself.

I've fallen in and out of heavy WoW addiction so many times that I can't bring myself to try another MMO. Despite the fact that I think MMO's are incredibly fun and would love to have the time to start playing one again.

Time isn't always a requirement as of now with WOW. Not too sure about others. WOW now is alot more casual. Therefore hardcore don't have that much more of an advantage.. But they still do a bit..

I'm just gonna llisten to Steve-O and take his advice on WaR. He's pretty good with his opinions. So I'll stick to them.

yeah im pretty much in agreement. my friend bought it, i went over checked it out. lol he couldnt log on for about 30 mins. WoW doesnt have that problem at the moment. but basically it's the same thing. I'll stick with wow, to much time invested to bother changing.

I wouldn't mind seeing it, and was tempted by the demo for a while, but don't plan on switching away from Warcraft any time soon.
