Post subject:  New Site Launching: Maritime Gaming Association (MGA)

So like I've mentioned before, I've been working on a project to unite maritime gamers for quite a while now. I am in the finishing portions of configuring a highly modified SMF Forum that will hopefully set the foundation for growth.

Basically, the MGA is going to be a fostering home to all of gamers from the maritimes, and of course there's lots out there. There will be boards for PC Gaming + Individual child forums for popular games (which I'll talk to you about later), Console Gaming (and all the individual consoles broken down), LAN Hookups, Modding, Hardware etc. Consoles have their own Multiplayer and Single Player forums, but no game specific forums.

Will be a cool way to interact with other local gamers and hell we might have a little fun too so yeah.

MGA is open to volunteers, the more the merrier to help get this off the ground.

The Pilot forums will be online next week, so any suggestions you guys may have would be fantastically appreciated :)

Specifically, since the main forum here will obviously be PC gaming, What child forums should I have for popular games? I wanna keep it within lets say 15.

Thanks!

I guess there's no interest in this. Was really counting on folks here to give some insight into this. I will cancel my hosting and domain tomorrow.

I think your heart's in the right place Phonix. It will just take time to build a user base. Might be better to go simpler then more complex. And let the forums grow as the community directs. So keep the number of group topics simple.
