i think i am one of the few that thought the first modern warfare was crap. I enjoyed world at war however and have higher expectations for MW2

What was so crappy about having more balanced maps/weapons/gametypes than WAW? Not to mention less bugs like respawns and sound issues (do you play with a headset?)

There's a reason why MW is still competition standard.

i am talking purely about single player, multiplayer gaming is meaningless to me for most games, unless its in a lan environment or console games with friends.

The only way to play is Multi :P

Single is decent tho but for me, single player is one way to getting you used to the game and the controls.

then when you rape single player you are good to go for the multi.

Seeing how good some people are in multi - they must play 8hrs/day. Its retarded.

i lost all interest of playing online with people besides friends. the douche bags run rampant with online gaming and i play games to relax and unwind not to get flammed by some 12 year old, or some tard that takes a simple game WAY to seriously. LAN games with friends are awesome though.

Spawn campers, kids acting like kids and thats putting it mildly - lol

I see it all the time. Its a turn off yes but thankfully there are about 400 servers to choose from ;) so I leave. I dont play for a long period of time, say 30 mins or so then I am happy.

But there are alot of people that need to use etiquette. Most sit next to a spawn point and stat pad themselves to a victory. I choose to seek those out and use a knife lol

Heheh you just don't like getting owned by the 12 yr olds dude hahaha.

I admin a BF2 server & we are getting a BF3 server once it comes out. We have kids begging us to wear our tags cause they idolize us so much & new members joining weekly STILL! We ranked 3rd in the world out of over 2500 BF2 servers recently so I'd say online gaming is still alive & well forever. ha

I really liked BF2, got the expansion too, played it alot, went to BF2142 as well. Played that till I also got tired lol Tho I always made time for other things I had to *ahem* "do" lol

I used to enjoy jumpin in the choppers and doin flips while taxi'n people around the map to freak em out lol. What got me on the BF series was the Desert combat Mod for battlefield 1942. Was insane. Hop in a scorpion heli and take down jets lol good times.

that was it for me, had to keep goin - so next logical step was COD4.

Yeah I completely and utterly agree with you about the asses out there. But an important thing to note, is that behind all those noobs and their servers ALWAYS lies smaller, more elite, respectful and mature communities. That's one of the reasons we started DN, so we could have a home and a community free of the noobishness.

So yeah, basically what I'm saying is find the communities and the servers that are policed by responsible clans/admins.

Because multiplayer gaming is fun when you're not being spawn raped and flamed all the time. You can only play against the computer so much before having to include some sort of human element. Thank god for the emergence of Co-op over the last few years.

Oh and Denty, there are some Knife and Pistol servers for COD4, just gotta find em. If you're ever around any of our servers we'd have no problem having a knives/pistols game or whatever.

Some nights we do stuff like Shotgun only or RPG only, but i agree knives&pistols FTW. Mucho Funo!

I actually did find a server or two that was pretty decent where noobs were booted of lude behaviour and spawn camping.

Would tick anyone off to spawn and get a head shot time and time again.

I have been on knife and pistol servers too - always fun to go head to head jump around and knife or get knifed lol at times this was decided on the fly just after a round - I liked it. Maturity was there.

If I find myself on a server that in my opinion is promoting that kind of behaviour by not banning or kicking people I make a comment about it and leave. Plain and simple.
