Out on the 21st, looks like a real winner...except it's "powered by steamworks", even the store-bought copy. I may just buy the game and install a "steam-free" version. Yeah it's not that bad of DRM, but it's still DRM. |

I think I'm going to get it but I ended up buying Mod Nation Racers last week because it came with Little Big Planet for free, and my girlfriend whose really not much of a gamer, wanted to play both so I may be tied up with those for a bit. I also need to borrow Uncharted 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4 from peeps here at work. ![]() |

Well apparently Future Shop was sold out even though the website says they have stock. Whatever, I'd only get to play it for a couple nights before I go to another wedding in Ottawa. Next week! |

Well I managed to get the only copy left in any Future SHop in Halifax, only because I was in the area. |

I had to stop off at MicMac Mall yesterday and I thought I'd go into EB Games and get this but it looks like they might be sold out as well because I saw no mention of it in the entire store. ![]() |

The EB in Bayer's lake has about a 6' wide spot set aside for PC games. I don't think they give a crap about them anymore. |

yeah the game store in the shopping center has this one tiny little rack that can fit about 4 games across on it. Sad. Consoles are fine but they dont compete with a pc when it comes to eye candy. |

Ya that's the same from the one in MicMac but StarCraft had their own rack so I was thinking this one might as well but no dice. The FS in Dartmouth Crossing had 3 copies left when I went in before lunch though so I was able to get one. |

I'm waiting until they actually release a significant patch to play it again. |

I'm not finding it too bad but I hate that you can't seem to skip that intro movie when you start the game until about 30 seconds in to it. I messaged a friend and he was getting the same thing AND his textures were coming out kind of screwy... Luckily I haven't had any of that yet. You could make that argument any time you pay for something instead of stealing it so I don't think it's a very good point. ![]() |

I am leaning toward his meaning being try before you buy. Which is how it sounded to me. I dont pirate games. I buy the ones I want to play. If there is a game I am curious about, I would probably download a version to test but buy it if I wanted it to play online. |

There is a thing you can put into an ini file in the game (civfanatics forum has it somewhere) that skips the intro videos. I put the game down to a 1920x1080 window and the videos do now appear, so it's just a problem of the devs not knowing/caring about super duper triplescreen rez. Although it's a TWIMTBP NV game, so I don't know if it has the same problems on a comparable 3 screen setup (Surround Vision?) from team green. |
