Hey, does anyone have any idea how I would go about disabling the ALT+TAB function in Windows XP? I use my left ALT button to talk in Ventrilo, and I use my TAB button to check scores in game. So therefore when I try to talk and check the score...it ALT TABS me out of game. And this can be very annoying.

I've googled it a bit and it looks like I need to create a file that over rides my registry when my computer first starts up. But I have no idea how to do this...lol

HELP?

P.S. I do not want to disable the ALT+ESC function...only the ALT+TAB function if possible.

-Thanks, Logan

Hmm I do the same thing but in order to get me out of the game I have to hit alt-tab-delete right.

Hmm not sure but i thought TweakUI has an option to disable this. If you have a spare button on your mouse you can use it for push to talk. But in reality, you really should tweak your capture and output volumes for use with voice activation, its hard to PTT in the middle of a game while doing everything else. Try to get voice activation working properly and you won't regret it.

Oh, and if you're using push to talk because you use speakers....DON'T. Speakers are the worst for online gaming, especially for FPS, any competitive gamer will tell you they use headphones for better directionality.

Ya, haha. I know all this :P I'm in cevo-m/cal-m in CSS.

There is no way I can change which vent button I use...I've been using this button for 4 years. I'll look at those articles and try to figure out something.

Thanks for the replies.
