Hey all,
Wife's gone away and well I always screw around making things in the kitchen. Typically I don't write down what I do but am starting.
I just made this from scratch, for a big pot of sauce (prolly 15 dozen wings worth or more, depending on how you like to coat them).
I had a few of my neighbours try it, and they all said it is really good
.
Whole pot cost me about $6.00 to make. About 30 mins prep time, and 2.5 hours of cooking.
2 cans Crushed Tomatoes
1 Medium - Large onion finely diced or minced
3 Medium Jalepeno Peppers chopped to small bits, keep seeds in sauce
1/2 cup ketchup (i had no name)
3/4 cup white vinegar
1.5 tbs Jamacian Jerk
5 tbs Garlic Powder (or about 3 cloves)
2 tbs Black Pepper
1 Bay Leaf
3 tbs white sugar
1 tsp cayanne Pepper
4 tbs Chillli powder
1 tbs of each Basil, oregano, selantro, parsly
35 shakes of worchestershire sauce
1/2 tsp soya sauce
1.5 tbs Dry mustard
3 tbs salt
1 cup water
1.5 tbs Blair's Sudden Death sauce (Gives it a small kick)
just turn the stove on, throw in your tomatoes, and add in everything as it goes. Adjust your Sudden Death sauce to prefered heat level.
Bring sauce to boil for about 20 minutes after everything is added and stired in. Let simmer for 2 hours after on low heat (1-10 I used 3). You can walk away from it.
I'm planning on making a sweet lime chilli sauce within the next month, along with a spicy mustard sauce. I'll post the creations I make if you guys want.
If you make the sauce, let me know what you think about it!
