I didn't see a thread, anyone get into it ? a buddy of mine picked up a pre-order and got a beta key.. I wanted one so bad but their sold out now.

I was offered a key from a friend, but I declined, as I don't want to sit there and play a beta 12 hours a day...so sad!

Lucky, I at least wanted to try it out. Guess I'll wait till the purposed date of release July 27th

Do you ever get enthusiastic for any game ?

I was enthusiastic for Duke Nukem Forever...that never panned out.
I am enthusiastic for Diablo 3, but who knows how long that'll take to be released.
That next Id game looks crazy good.

Years and years and years of WoW playing has left me jaded and confused, also being unable to play most other games due to the fact my brain has shrunk. I can't figure out how to play with a targeting reticle

No idea how Duke Nukem took so long to produce..nothing. Yahtzee's review is pretty slick on it hahahaha. WoW is enough to leave anyone jaded I suppose, but I never got into it that much. I played DAoC, then WoW released 4-5yrs after and basically crushed any other MMO that was still breathing. Since WoW's released it feels like it's crippled the MMO industry, theres good ideas but WoW adapts/steals them to just make WoW better. But every game steals shit from each other, so I'm not calling them on that. It just seems WoW was the everymans MMO, the lowest common denominator where the hardcore MMO player could do stuff, but also the 6yr old that would play WoW and then go watch tree house.

I honestly can't wait for it to DIE but a part of that is the sinister side of me that liked it when MMO's wern't so mainstream that 11million people played 1 of them.. you like something you like until the world likes it.. then it doesn't feel so special. Thats why those rice crispy chocolate rabbits at easter are the best!

Sweet, screw everything. I find a beta key only to wait 2hrs for a download, install it, wait 20mins for an update. The game crashes upon launching.. LOVELY! I realize it's a beta and its proned to these things.. but lovely!

My bad, turns out the server was down for everyone. Also it seems to hate my windows 7, but works fine if I boot Vista, install in Vista's directory. Then reboot into windows 7, and launch it from Vista's directory.. odd but It works for me!

I got matched to the Gold Ranking for 1on1, like #45 so far. I saw a Cpt.Obvious on , was wondering if that's our very own ?

And after all that fine work I did beta testing Diablo 2 back in the day, it took them this long to let me in.

I'm pretty sure every single person who did the major work on Diablo 2 isn't with Blizzard anymore
