Ordered the Corsair D800 and have been very impressed, its always been annoying to me having crappy cable management even if i use tie wraps and everything at my disposal. This simply .. makes it simple! i guess its essentially like stuffing everything you never wanted your parents to see under your bed because all of the wires go to the other side of the case, their a mis-mash but to the viewers eye, beautiful!

Late September or Christmas I'll be doing the WCing build, I was going to hold off till christmas simply to see if I could get some kind of deal on the parts. I've already decided to order 6 Gentle Typhoons 120mm for my Rads, The other 3 140MM fans I think are going to be Coolmaster R4's or maybe try some of the Scythe Slipstreams. The 3 140mm come with the corsair case are silent but they don't move much air. I miss my sidefan but the Coolmaster V8 would push against it anyways, and the loss of a sidefan doesn't appear to effective heat at all. It's actually going down, combination of new fans probably and the fact its all more spacious.

Welcome to the "Money is no object" club! I dunno about the triple rad pointing down bit, metalwork would now be required. The most I've seen for dual GTX480's and an OC 980x is a triple and an extra single rad.

In fact, that whole picture is wrong. There is no "natural" airflow coming anywhere from the front (right side in that picture) of the case. It's not designed like that.

When you say "ordered" you mean from MB, and you don't have it yet? Behold, my leet mspaint skillz!

Ah no, I have it already, I got my entire machine moved over from my TT Armor. I saw a build where a guy had 2 triple rads, one on the bottom and one on top. Also their not too expensive, its $85-100 for a BlackIce Triple Rad. I expected to spend $500 or so on a setup.

$80-100 rad, $80-100 pump, $50 on a res, $50-60 on compression fittings, $100 on a cpu block.

So a 2nd rad doesn't really seem like too bad an idea, I've heard them knocking temps down a solid 10c sometimes depending on the humidity. Also I was planning on putting a fan in the front. I guess I messed up the arrows in regards to the rads.

I've seen some hack jobs when it comes to putting fans all over the place on these cases and nice jobs as well. But this case isn't meant for air fans, and i'd have to facepalm (and cry a little on the inside) in front of anyone who doles out the dosh for this case only to cut holes in it, no matter the intention.

So yer just going to watercool the CPU? I thought you were going to go bawls out!

CPU first, GPU's later. I dont see the sense in watercooling my 5770's right now. I'll wait until i get a big beefy card as it doesn't seem i can OC these at all, their scores go down if i OC them.. AT ALL.

You can kind of see in my old case where the PSU is and how tight it is in there.

Image

Bent bracket or bracer whatever it is to get it out.

Image

Oh so clean! and shiny! and lots of space and cable management! (Even though there arn't any in yet!)

Image

I'm sure we all have a box like this somewhere.. its unavoidable.

Image

Spot where my PSU doesn't properly fit in the back, the plastic bits around the powercable plug push on the side. I might just cut it.

If i mentioned stripping a screw and scratching my case up i got some Black Kaho, anyone with a matte black case or a Corsair D800 I'd note this stuff blends in seamessly, a friend of mine who uses it on mini's fixed it up for me.

That's gotta be one horribly designed PSU, as my middle of the road badboy has the 120V input and power switch reversed with no gigantic screws in the way.

Well to be honest, the Silverstone Strider 850W is highly rated, its 80% + certified and its practically silent, and modular!
