Says MSRP of 499$, sounds a tad bit optimistic IMO, but who knows it could happen.

It seems less resonable once you look at the intial MSRP of the preceding cards:

5970 $599 (1.6x more than 5870 @ $379, 2.3x more than 5850 @ $259)
6990 $499 (1.35x more than 6970 @ $369, 1.7x more than 6950 @ $299)

Going with the previous ratio of 1.6 over the 6970 we'd get a $599 MSRP. Then again we are dealing with a core that is basically clocked at 6950 speeds and looking at the rate of original 6950's going the full monty OC I'm going with a $549 MSRP tomorrow.

Make it so, number one!

Full load GPU temp and system power consumption with Furmark. Dunno about the temps for CPU or how much warmer your room is gonna get though

699$ MSRP, non-event. It gets beaten by 6970 crossfire for 80$ less.

Shame, AMD had a chance to do something useful, but instead greed got in the way.

Guess I'll end up getting 6950 in crossfire, and hope for the ol 6970 bios switcheroo.

I'd hate to be the person to spend 1400$ on 2 video cards to be the absolute worst in this chart, but then again more money than brains trumps common sense.

I think I'll be taking the same road as Steve-O and CF 6950's. Now to find the means of doing so. If it weren't for my goddamn psu I would have upgraded my vid card umpteen times since the 5850. Maybe I should think about ordering a new PSU this week, say, 800w or so...
