so, this will be my first post sense I recreated my account. Heres the rundown.

Asus A8M2N-LA
athlon am2 5200+
2gigs ram
7600gt
200gig HD
500watt psu
lightscribe dvd burner
vista home premium 32bit
5.1 koss sound setup
19" wide lcd

Now I just gotta get it out of that awefull HP case and throw together some UV gear and I am good to go..

open to suggestions on where to find some lighting gear and uv wire wraps or possibly split looms. I have afew ideas as alternatives but I love to hear other peoples ideas.

MB would be the best place for computer lighting gear.

For Split loom, I spent weeks looking for it in colors other than black, but had no luck. Home depot, Kent, and Princess Auto all sell it at the standard sizes in black.

Looks like a nice system otherwise, good luck with the switch ;)

Why not make it yourself? It's much more satisfying and you can make it exactly (as close as possible) how you want it.

where do i find a deacent cathode? preferably blacklight. I was looking at the ones for cars in wal mart. but i have no idea on how that would be done in a pc.. same molex? probly not :P

K, so heres a rough draft of how she looks. 4 uv cathodes, 1 120mm blue led fan and some fluroscent paint on spiral phone cord, and a uv rounded cable thanks to MB. Also the fan is one of those black and red thermaltake high performance ones i made fluroscent orange.
still needs some work thow, the bottom is realy a mess atm.

Where are you located? I'm thinking I'll give you the green spiral wrap I have lying around (pretty diced up - was two 3ft lenghts, diff. diameters) and some Blue UV IDE cables if you have a use for them.

Ths was much more impressive before the UV LED's died off, but I don't seem to have any pics from that era...

Posts like this used to be so common 3+ years ago but have seemed to died down lately as the trend has gone back to more subtle case designs. It's good to see it's still around though and it makes me feel like watching Hackers (yet again) after seeing those pics. :)

What type of case are you rocking?

It looks like a monster 21" inch case, I have a cheiftec dragon.

Just wondering about noise, is it an issue for you with the large case+more fans?

hehe, I guess its just a hobby, or some thing to fiddle with.. but i know what your saying. I have 3 120 fans and another 120 in the psu.. my cpu temp barely hits 30 even under load but for some reason i have a core and remote temp that get pretty high... might be the board I got being stupid..
