When you buy a computer system from MysteryByte, we are here to help you even after your parts warranty expires. We continue to answer your questions and will move your entire working windows with programs and data to a new pc if possible when purchasing a new computer from MysteryByte. We will also try and fix your older pc so it can be re-sold or refurbished for re-use.

Clean OS installation (no “bloat ware” software)

We do not load your new system with trial software, ads and promos nagging you to purchase after the “free” time expires. No one wants a computer preloaded with that junk. It can even slow down your computer and cause problems with MS updates. We do offer some curtsey installs of free open source that are useful software packages and apps. Examples if these are: Libra Office, VLC media player, a second internet browser, and Adobe’s free PDF reader.

Latest drivers, patches and service packs applied

It is important to us that each custom computer is built with the newest software and latest drivers available. We give personal attention to each PC before it’s picked up, delivered local or ships across the Atlantic Provinces

Meticulous assembly and cable routing standards

We give a few more custom options when it comes to cases and cooling and that increase the need for good cable routing techniques. We take great effort while assembling your system to keep it clean looking. When you're selling, building systems or preparing systems for pickup & delivery, it can be challenging to make sure nothing is overlooked when you have so many things that you want to give attention to. To ensure nothing gets missed, we have a checklist to follow in our workflow process.
keeping your system safe on its travels is our number one concern and it can be one of biggest problems in our industry. We do care about the systems we build every day and take steps to keep them safe.


Burn-in process

Your computer system is fully tested prior to pickup or delivery. All hardware parts and windows software are stress tested under heavy load to ensure reliability of real workflow or gaming conditions. Here are a few of our favorite testing and benchmarking software.

Backup and recovery

We also provide you with the most up to date windows system image and backup when an extra HDD is purchased. It can help you restore your system back to a date to repair issues like windows updates, viruses and failures . As a 2nd option we have also provided a windows install on USB and It will allow you to quickly wipe your hard drive and restore your operating system to exactly the way it was when you first received your PC minus your data and programs! Always call us before choosing this option and make sure your data is backed up. Also remember that moving all your files to the cloud or and external backup device and then removing them from you system is not a backup anymore. Your data needs to be in a minimum of two places at all times.
