Northeast Division - Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Ottawa, Buffalo (no change)
Atlantic Division - NYR, NYI, New Jersey, Philladelphia, Washington (IN)
Southeat Division - Dallas (IN), Nashville (IN), Carolina, Florida, Tampa Bay
Central Division - Detroit, Columbus, Chicago, St. Louis, Pittsburgh (IN)
Northwest Division - Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg (IN!), Minnesota, Colorado
Pacific Division - Vancouver (IN), San Jose, Los Angeles, Anaheim, Phoenix (for now)

I think they should drop organizing teams based on geography, they should focus on balancing the divisions.

Teams like the leafs will play more games against Canadian-based teams, no matter what division they are in. They played Vancouver twice, LA and Anahiem once last year.

The computers that do the schedule trickery are beyond the realm of comprehension of my puny brain :P

to the best of my understanding Phoenix isn't going anywhere.

if Winnipeg is to get a team back then it will likely be nashville relocated.

Well if it's on the NHL.com website there has to be basis to it, otherwise Bettman would crap out a brick and fire some people.

Dingleberry who owns the Minnesota wild stated that the new central would be made up of Winnipeg, Minnesota, St. Louis, Chicago and Dallas.

Only problem is that it leaves 8 teams west of that zone and there needs to be 10 to make up tha Pacific and Northwest.

I can see them going (back) to 4 divisions. This is my prediction if it goes to 4 division for the 2012/13 season (my origianl pics for 6 divisions still stand) AND once again Phoenix is still in Phoenix and not in QC.

Obviously it's an uneven split with 8, 7, 7, and 8 teams.
